2021 UK Travel Bucket List

2021 UK Travel Bucket List

It’s undeniable that a global shut down has had an impact on your travel plans and stopped you ticking those places off your bucket list. We know you’re itching to get back out into the world, so why not start planning your 2021 adventures.

We’ve put together a list of the top places to add to your 2021 UK travel bucket list.

  1. Seven Sister Cliffs

If you love walking then this should be at the top of your list. Enjoy beautiful seascapes, pretty skies and, of course, the pure white cliffs. With mesmerising views of unspoilt coastline, the Seven Sisters Cliffs are a must-see.

The Seven Sister Cliffs gets their name from the seven chalk cliffs that make up the stretch of coastline, one of England’s most famous landmarks. Take a walk along the tops of the cliffs and then head down onto the beach to enjoy a walk alongside the wonderful turquoise sea.

  1. Newquay

Located on the north coast of Cornwall, Newquay is a town known for the Boardmasters Surfing Championships, a real surfers paradise. If surfing is your passion, then Newquay is the place to be. Even if you have never attempted to ride the waves, you can still enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this lovely Cornish town which boasts some of England’s most beautiful and sandiest beaches, including Watergate Bay and Fistral. It was even previously voted as “One of the Nation's Favourite Seaside Towns”. Why not head to Blue Reef Aquarium and take a walk through the underwater tunnel, discover an array of wonderful different types of sharks, rays and fish or see some lions, red pandas and even sloths at Newquay Zoo.

  1. Stonehenge

Stonehenge is one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments. It was built in several stages, the first monument was built around 5,000 years ago, and the unique stone circle was erected in around 2500 BC. Until you’re stood looking at these amazing sculptures it’s hard to appreciate the magnitude of them. Visiting Stonehenge is an unforgettable experience and will leave you questioning where these wonderful sculptures came from.

  1. Cheddar Gorge

Cheddar Gorge is an amazing limestone gorge which is located within the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset. Cheddar is the birthplace, of course, to no other than cheddar cheese, making it the perfect spot for cheese lovers. Not only is it the perfect place for the cheese lovers, it is also rich in history. Did you know that one of Britain’s oldest complete skeletons was found here?

  1. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge

Located in Northern Ireland, the Carrick-a-Rede bridge is a famous rope bridge and popular tourist attraction. It is located 30 metres above the rocks below and was first built by fishermen in the mid-18th century. This rope bridge is a popular destination for those looking for a unique and exhilarating experience while taking in the epic views across the North Coast of Ireland. Once you’ve dared to cross the rope bridge, you can then enjoy a lovely walk along the coastal path.
